Like many people, I thought wine was primarily about what was in the glass. Then I discovered it was really about everything around it.
The conversations that somehow become unforgettable after a bottle is opened.
What fascinated me wasn't simply how wine tasted. It was what wine revealed.
A bottle could tell the story of a place. A culture. A generation. A family business. A historical moment. Sometimes all at once.
That curiosity eventually became a career.
Over the years, I've worked across multiple corners of the wine industry — as a sommelier, educator, retailer, and distributor — helping people navigate a world that is often far more welcoming than its reputation suggests.
Along the way, I noticed something.
Most people aren't intimidated by wine.
They're intimidated by how wine is often taught.
Too often, wine education feels like a test.
I think it should feel like a story.
A place where wine serves as a gateway to something larger: travel, culture, history, hospitality, craftsmanship, and the remarkable people behind every bottle.
Through conversations with winemakers, sommeliers, critics, chefs, authors, and industry leaders, the goal is simple: to make wine more accessible, more engaging, and more connected to everyday life.
Just thoughtful conversations, useful knowledge, and great stories.
Whether you're opening your first bottle, studying for a certification, planning a trip to wine country, or simply curious about what's in your glass — I'm glad you're here.
